Sonakshi: Time for a makeover

Sonakshi Sinha
Good morning jalebis! How goes it? Let me just get started with whatever goss I have for you. Sher Lock Holmes has found that Khamosh Shatrughan Sinha's heroine beti, Sonakshi Sinha, currently working with Akshay Kumar in Joker and Rowdy Rathore, has been asked to get a makeover for her movie with Ajay Devgn, Son Of Sardar.
Her co-star and the director of the film want her to look different from her usual desi avatar. They want her to lose some kilos, and get into contemporary chic clothes, the kind she planned to wear for Race 2 when she was signed for it. The reason for the makeover is simple.
Sher Lock says that the actor has only been wearing saris and ghagra-choli-type of clothes for her movies, whether it was her debut Dabangg or the consequent ones that she has signed on for. Even the sequel to her debut will have her in saris only.
So, everyone associated with Son Of Sardar wants her to change her look completely and get into something that makes her look younger and spunkier. Hmm, I hope she follows what she's been asked to do. I'm tired of her not-so-contemporary clothes too!

Sonakshi to work with dad!

Sonakshi Sinha, who will start filming Lootera with Ranveer Singh towards the end of December, has a secret wish. She plans to work with her father, actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, in their next home production.
But the film, she says, may have to wait for a while, considering her date diary is choc-abloc at the moment with films like Rowdy Rathore, Joker, Dabangg 2 and the period romance that she starts next month.
"Dad and I will look fabulous on screen together," she says with a smile: "I know he's been wanting to work with me. But he's a busy man, and fortunately, I also have some work to boast about. The day we land a good script, even if it's not a home production, we'll do it. I want to see how well we translate our off-screen chemistry on screen."
Earlier this year, Sonakshi had a chance to occupy the hot seat on the Bhojpuri version of Kaun Banega Crorepati, called Ke Bani Karodpati, that her father had hosted. "Dad is very particular about the movies he accepts. He worked in Aan (2004) and many years later, he put up a splendid performance in Rakta Charitra (2010)," says Sonakshi, adding, "It's difficult to find a script that pleases him."
Around the time that she signed her latest, Lootera, there was a rumour that she was dating her co-star Ranveer, and had just broken up. "My mother sometimes gets a bit paranoid. But my father has seen every side of this business. He knows his girl, and remains unaffected."
